About The Event

Location: Newport National School, F28 ED89

The Pale Blue Dot, our portable planetarium, is back at Mayo Dark Sky Festival! Step inside the dome with your family for a guided journey through the wonders of the night sky, led by staff from Blackrock Castle Observatory.

There are six free shows each day on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, starting at 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 3:00pm and 3:30pm. Each show lasts approximately 20 minutes.

The dome holds 25 people per show, so we recommend arriving early. If a session is full, you’re welcome to return for a later one.

The Pale Blue Dot dome is wheelchair accessible, and free parking is available at Newport National School.
