Festival Stargazing: Weather Update

Friday looks cloudy, but there’s hope for Saturday! Check the latest outlook before travelling for stargazing.

Hoping to join us for stargazing at the Mayo Dark Sky Festival? Please remember that all stargazing is weather dependent.

The forecast for Friday evening, 30 October, has deteriorated, with full cloud cover currently expected, so the prospects for stargazing look poor.

Saturday evening, 31 October, is looking more promising, with a mix of clear skies and cloud forecast. There’s still room for optimism that we’ll get a glimpse of the stars!

Forecasts can change, so if you’re travelling specifically for stargazing, please check the latest forecast and our updates before setting off to avoid disappointment.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on conditions and sharing updates on our social media channels and by email to our subscribers.

Whatever the skies bring, there’s plenty to enjoy indoors throughout the festival weekend!
