About The Event

The Woodcock is one of Ireland’s most common wading birds, yet few people ever get the chance to see one. They are incredibly shy, hiding deep in vegetation during the day, and only venturing out under the cover of darkness.

In his talk, James will showcase this fascinating bird and share details of its secretive nocturnal lifestyle, much only recently discovered during the course of his research of this species in the Irish landscape.
